Julia Baines, Scientific Policy Advisor for Animals for Animals, said: "Europe has taken the lead in banning animal testing of cosmetics and its ingredients, but we hope that the British government will investigate whether these products ignore the ban and violate the law."

In 2013, the EU banned the sale and sale of cosmetics for animal testing anywhere in the world. The limits of the ban – and whether it applies to foreign mandatory animal testing – are questioned in court.

According to the report, the organization later learned about animal testing in China through industry insiders and removed some international cosmetics companies from its cruel list. Many customers in the UK have learned from retailers that no cosmetics are being tested on animals. The reporter received a negative response. Revlon said that since 1989, it has not carried out animal testing, but some countries including China will conduct independent testing on animals. Estee Lauder, which also owns the Clinique brand, said that the company did not conduct animal testing, but "the Chinese government requires all imported cosmetics, including our company's products, to pay for animal testing."

According to reports, Pui Lingwei said that there is no animal testing and does not support such an approach, but it is impossible to control the relevant procedures that need to be observed in China. Clarins said that it is vigorously promoting "a full acceptance of the practice of not using animal testing."
